After growing up and attending school in Utah, I met my wife, Allison Konrady, who is from Watertown. Shortly after Allison graduated from dental school, we chose to relocate to South Dakota. I have grown to love the community and could not think of a better place to raise our children, Ella and Jack. When I am not at the office or spending time with family, you are likely to find me at the golf course with friends. .
For the first 17 years of my career, I was a social studies teacher and multi-sport coach in the communities of Lake Benton, MN, Elkton, SD and Watertown, SD. As an educator, I always tried to follow three core values my parents taught me from an early age: 1.) Show up and be dependable 2.) Work Hard 3.) Treat everyone from all walks of life with respect and dignity. In the summer of 2023, I joined Big Sioux Wealth Management as an Associate Financial Advisor. I am excited to be part of a team that prides itself in leading by example, serving their client's best interest and helping families meet their financial goals. Educational Credentials: In 2006, I graduated summa cum laude from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a Social Studies Degree that has a primary emphasis in history and a secondary emphasis in political science. In 2012, I earned a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from South Dakota State University. Where can find Tommy on the weekend: With Watertown being my hometown and being a former coach, when out of the office you can expect to find me supporting Arrow athletics and activities. I also enjoy spending time on the golf course with friends and good meals with family.

After graduating from Waubay High School, I attended Lake Area Technical Institute, earning an Associate Degree in Marketing Management Sales.
Where you can find Tari on the weekend:
In my free time I can frequently be found rummaging through thrift shops in northeastern South Dakota hunting for items to re-purpose and hammering on home improvement “fixer upper” projects for myself or our kids. When the toolbelt comes off I do enjoy kayaking and relaxing at Blue Dog Lake as well as traveling to family sporting events. I reside in in Watertown, South Dakota, with my husband Troy. Our four grown children are scattered around the Midwest region.
I am responsible for developing & maintaining policies and procedures for operational aspects of the firm.
I am a lifelong resident of Watertown, SD and retired from the South Dakota Army National Guard in 2015 with 30 years of service.
Educational Credentials:
I graduated from Liberty University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Multi-Disciplinary Studies with emphasis in Business and Psychology.

At Big Sioux Wealth Management, we believe that no matter how much progress we make as a society, the idea of connecting with people as one human being to another should never be left behind.
For this reason we named our firm after the Big Sioux River that joins so many of our communities as neighbors – from the Coteau des Prairies all the way through Watertown and Dell Rapids to Falls Park, to name a few.
We manage your wealth in accordance with technological innovation and all the advantages it brings. In addition to your finances we pay close attention to your traditions, heritage, and values- what really makes you who you are.
Services
We provide a wide variety of services but we tailor them to fit each individual client. Whether you have an idea of what aspect of your wealth you want to work on, you’re just taking the first step, or somewhere in between we are here to help! With many different options to choose from, you may wish to focus on one or more of these areas.
During our initial meeting, our Big Sioux Wealth team will conduct a needs assessment and help design a set of services that are tailored to meet your needs.
We offer experienced guidance for selecting traditional investments such as equities, fixed income, annuities , mutual funds and exchange-traded funds, along with more intricate offerings like managed discretionary accounts, separately managed and unified managed accounts.
You’ve worked hard to get where you are and deserve to enjoy the fruits of your success without worry. We will custom design a small business retirement plan that takes into account the needs of you and your team. With our guidance you may potentially save more and reduce tax burden for all stakeholders involved. We may also assist you with your plans to ensure continuity of your business to a successor, whether a family member or business associate you’ve chosen “carry the torch”.
Whether planning to build a home by the lake or help your daughter launch a business, a well-conceived plan will help you to succeed. Pursuing financial independence is no different.
As your knowledgeable partner, we provide wide-ranging, comprehensive financial planning with which to chart a detailed course for pursuing a bright and secure future.
Many of today's retirees can expect to spend up to 30 years or more enjoying the “golden years”. That's why retirement and longevity planning are so important, and a proper plan must take into account all of the years your wealth might last, all of the ways your life will change and all of the events you can't foresee.
One of the most important functions we serve is helping to protect all you have worked to build. Proper riskmanagement takes the right approach, as well as steadfast discipline and diligence, to assess the risks that could derail your life goals and build a contingency plan to help limit the effects. As your guide, we assess where your risk lies and determine your level of comfort with it, exploring what actions and plans to put in place to provide the level of protection you need and deserve.
One of life’s greatest rewards is sharing your wealth with others. Managing your estate, charitable giving, or charitable trust to take care of one’s own needs and wants is one thing, but it takes additional planning and knowledgeable guidance to help ensure your financial legacy makes an enduring difference in the lives of loved ones or a favorite charity.
